Elevator Pitch No. 1

Today, the purchase of a car comes with the implication of paying hundreds of dollars every month for gasoline just to keep in functional.  Burning through this much gas has major financial and environmental implications. In order to avoid these expenses, I have developed the InfiniCar.  This car will be able to run indefinitely on the power of the sun and wind. A solar panel on the hood and a wind turbine in the rear will allow my car to not only produce enough electricity to run the car, but also be able to do so with zero greenhouse gas emissions.

  1. Zach,

Nice pitch! It is clear that you took the time to think about your product and the benefits it will offer. The only thing I saw that could use improvement was your delivery, but that just takes practice. Keep up the good work!

  2. HI Zach,

I think this is a great idea that most people have thought about but not really put into action, so I'm really curious to hear more about your idea and the science behind the InfiniCar. My concern is what if there is no wind? And what if there is no sun? Then what happens? But I like the fact that you pointed out that this would be helpful because of the rising tensions in the Middle East, which is a great point. Talking about finances, how much do you think a car like this would cost? Would it be something that the average middle class could afford? Or would it be a luxury? And how do you plan to market this product to differ your already established competitors, like the Prius?

  3. Hey Zach,
I thought your pitch sounded really good and I could understand everything you said, which is important. You really took your time thinking about your product and figuring out how to make it sound good. The only thing I would say is if there isn't any wind and sun will it still work?

  4. I think that you have a great idea and that your pitch was very good! I was able to completely understand everything about your product which is extremely important as a person viewing from the outside. I know that cars that are completely environmentally safe are a huge market today and therefore I would love to know how you plan to compete with them.

  5. Hey Zach, Good job on your first pitch! I like how you spoke slow and everything was easily understandable. Next time, try dressing up and act as though you were giving the pitch in front of an audience!
