For a person to buy my car, they must not only be environmentally conscious, but also fiscally responsible. While my car may have a hefty price tag, the long term savings make it a viable option for someone who is successful yet smart with their money. Such people would likely be older adults with children and a steady income. I would also say most of my clientele would be educated and aware of the severity of global warming and societies dependence on fossil fuels. While some customers may make the switch from Prius or Tesla, I would imagine others drove flashier, bright colored cars. My car will be so unique that those driving it should anticipate some attention on the roads.
I have a good amount in common with this prototypical customer. While I am not yet graduated and successful, I am financially conscious and would see the perks of a self sustaining automobile. I am also passionate about the environment and would be happy to do my part by driving this zero emission vehicle. I definitely do not think this is a coincidence as I chose to design a product I care about and believe in.
